I’ve heard of TFP? But what does it mean? You’ve probably heard the acronym TFP used in the modelling/pinup community, but what does it mean? TFP means Trade for Print . Back in the day the P stood for print photographs, but thanks to modern technology it’s now digital files. This is a term that essentially means no money is exchanged for services.   It’s used when people are looking to collaborate with creatives on a project, or are new to their field and want to practice their craft. Everyone gives up their time as a trade for images that each person can use to promote their work. When you’re just starting out in the pinup community, it’s a great way to increase your portfolio at low (no no) cost. You’ll find groups on Facebook where people network for TFP, some recommendations will be included below. H ere's some tips to be prepared and help keep that anxiety at bay, because you want to be looking and feeling your absolute best! Homework Preparation for a bathtub photo shoot Do your homework! It will pay off in your photos. This means lots of research before booking a photographer, check their portfolio, ensure that their style is what your looking for, don't just assume all photographers shoot pinup. Agree on a basic concept prior to your shoot; plan your outfits, props, set a date, time, location and pay your deposit (make sure you get a receipt!). Keep in contact with your photographer, and reconfirm at least one week before your booking.
